The Maison McMurry Story

My name is Colin McMurry, I grew up in Luxembourg, surrounded by its charming mix of cultures, languages, and landscapes. Once I left home, I was drawn to Wintrange’s vine-covered hills, where the rhythm of life seemed to follow the seasons of the vineyard.

To be honest, I never dreamed of making wine, but of creating something that could breathe new life into our local economy, especially for the younger generation. Luxembourg is rich with tradition, but I’ve always believed tradition can thrive alongside fresh, playful ideas.

Why not make wine a bridge between generations, a reason for people to gather, laugh, and celebrate our home?

In 2024, that dream took root. I employ the help of João, whose wine making and viticulture expertise helped greatly craft the wine and vineyard into what it is today.

For me, wine is more than a drink. It’s the clink of glasses between old friends. It’s the spark of conversation between strangers at a tasting. It’s a link between the Luxembourg I grew up in, the one we live in now, and the future we’re shaping—one bottle at a time.
